    You Need To Blog

The lastest article by Beanstalk SEO has been published today. Written by Matt Tuens, the article outlines why your company needs a blog. It might seem pretty obvious but if you don’t have one – it’s a must read.

I won’t bbother outlining the points from the article in this post. The article is only 1031 words – a pretty easy read. Watch for the next articles from Matt where he’ll be sharing tactics for creating successful blog posts.

You can read his current article here.

    Dude, where’s my site?

Has your website been swallowed by the Google SERPs? You may have noticed your page’s rank (as opposed to PageRank) jumping up and down like a yo-yo without reason?

There are a number of confusing theories as to the how and why. We here at Beanstalk are playing “Sherlock” trying to make sense of all this. Look for an article tomorrow regarding this SERP dance that has been making a buzz.

    Kyle.

    Competitor Analysis Article Published

The latest article by Beanstalk’s Dave Davies (yours truly) has been published today. It delves into areas of competitor analysis and keyword research that more of our readers likely haven’t thought of and that a large percentage wouldn’t even consider doing now that they have.

The article, titled “Savvy Competitor Analysis and Keyword Research Your Competitors Aren’t Doing” recommends some fairly unconventional things – but if you’re in big business and you really want to know what everyone around you is doing – they’re effective.

    Enjoy. :)

    A New Article

Inspired by a combination of an excellent research paper from Richard Stokes of AdGooroo, Google’s Q2 earnings report and the recent happenings in the now getting tiring story of Yahoo! and Microsoft – the most recent article by Beanstalk’s Dave Davies is out today. Titled, “The Search Landscape Reflected In Paid Results” it discussed some of the recent changes, how they’re affecting the search engines themselves and what we can expect to see in the paid and organic results because of this.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

    Two New SEO Articles

Two new SEO articles came out of Beanstalk today.

The first article, titled “>1 Is the Lonliest Number” doesn’t so much cover SEO as is intended to help Internet Marketing providers to survive the current economic climate. In a time when competition for dollars is at a high, insuring that you attain and maintain clients is critically importance. This articles outlines how we’re surviving it and notes some common trends in companies that aren’t.

The second article is more SEO focused. The article, titled “A Beginners Guide To Link Building” is just that. In it we explain why link building is important (from the search engine’s perspective) as well as covering different aspects of links that are factors and a few of the more important link building methods. A good read for those just getting their feet wet in SEO and link building.

    We hope you enjoy.

    An Introduction To SEO

Beanstalk’s Daryl Quenet (Director Of Optimization Services) published his latest article today. Titled, “An Introduction To SEO” it covers the general theory behind the SEO basics.

While in this article we don’t get into too many specific tactics (don’t worry – there are some) it covers nicely the ideas behind the tactics. And as we’ve discussed in our blog previously – understanding the “why” helps you keep up and understand the “how”.

You can read the article on the Beanstalk site here. Enjoy!

    Content Optimization

As part of our ongoing series on optimization, Jim Hedger published part 4 in the series – content optimization. It’s a lengthy read (with a topic such as content optimization, how could it be otherwise).

This article is released in conjunction with a special on Webcology (a Webmaster Radio show hosted by Jim and myself). Be sure to tune in on Thursday at 2PM EST to listen to some great interviews to go along with the article. If you’ve reading this too late to catch the show don’t worry – you can download the podcast free of charge on the Webcology page here.

Jim Hedger, aside from being a great friend to me and the entire SEO community, is an SEO consultant for Metamend Web Marketing also out of Victoria, BC, Canada.
